ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A neighbor known as "Junkman" was arrested Wednesday in Seminole County in connection with a September cleanup in which crews removed more than 31 tons of trash and debris from his yard, according to authorities.

Alan Davis, 61, of Altamonte Springs, was arrested on charges of felony littering and misdemeanor nuisance.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said deputies conducted a traffic stop on Davis’ vehicle Wednesday morning, and he was taken into custody without incident. He was additionally charged with knowingly driving with a suspended license.
Code enforcement crews cleared Davis' property on September 3 after a special magistrate declared it a health and safety concern.
A crew spent nine hours cleaning up the property, collecting a total of 31.49 tons of trash and debris, including unsecured refrigerators, household appliances, metal, lumber, glass, tires, dismantled auto parts, a large amount of scrap building material and buckets of stagnant water, according to officials. Two junk vehicles were also removed from the property, deputies said.
After the cleanup, the Sheriff’s Office forwarded the case to the State Attorney’s Office for review, and a warrant was issued for Davis’ arrest.
Davis was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility on a $3,000 bond.
It's not the first time the county has cleaned up Davis' mess.
Davis' saga began over a decade ago, when he said code enforcement trespassed on his property. The county has since fined him roughly $1.9 million, and even sent him to prison for four years.
