Officials search for gunman in Casselberry

Patrick Jackson, 43, shot in chest

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – Police are looking for a gunman in Casselberry after they say the gunman shot a man in the victim's own backyard Sunday night.

Police said the shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. at a home at 324 Seminola Blvd.

Authorities have identified the victim as 43-year-old Patrick Jackson of Casselberry. They said the suspect and victim know each other, and while authorities have identified the alleged gunman, they are not releasing his name at this time

According to police, the gunman shot Jackson in the lower back and upper chest. They said Jackson was taken by ambulance to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have set up a perimeter around the crime scene to search for the gunman, using police dogs and help from Seminole County deputies.

Police have not yet identified a motive for the shooting.
