2012: Maria Sharapova of Russia beats Sara Errani of Italy 6-3, 6-2 in the French Open final to complete a career Grand Slam, which includes winning the French Open, Wimbledon, the U.S. Open and the Australian Open. She was the sixth woman in the Open Era to attain a career Grand Slam in singles.
