1967: A day after being captured, Marxist revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara is executed for attempting to incite a revolution in Bolivia. Guevara, seen here in 1960, reportedly told his executioner, Bolivian Sgt. Mario TerĂ¡n, "I know you've come to kill me. Shoot me you coward! You are only going to kill a man!"
