ORLANDO, Fla. – The only female defendant charged in the hazing death of a Florida A&M drum major has become the sixth defendant to accept a plea deal for her role in the incident.
Lasherry Codner pleaded no contest to third-degree felony hazing Friday morning and had a second-degree manslaughter charge against her dismissed. She was sentenced to four years of probation and also must perform 100 hours of community service and complete an anti-hazing course.

Codner becomes the sixth of 15 total defendants to accept pleas in the case. All of those cases ended with some combination of probation and community service as well.
Several other defendants have a status hearing this afternoon.
Robert Champion collapsed and died in November 2011 after undergoing a hazing ritual following a football game in Orlando.
