Oprah Winfrey has added to the numerous celebrities and politicians speaking out about the shooting death investigation of Trayvon Martin.

Winfrey sounded off on an episode of Extra on Local 6 on Wednesday.

"It's a tragedy and it's a shame and justice needs to be served," Winfrey said.

Winfrey said she has seen many people on Twitter writing that nothing has changed in all of the years since the Civil Rights Movement, but she said she disagrees.

"Lots have changed- do you know why? Because black people, white people, yellow people, brown people all over this country are saying the same thing."
