Twenty cats, including six kittens, were picked up from the home and appear to be in good health. They will soon be evaluated by Animal Services clinic staff.

"This is the second large grouping of animals the shelter has received in the past thirty days," Dil Luther, Division Manager of Orange County Animal Services said in a release. "The recent Apopka dog fighting bust brought in 34 dogs to Animal Services." These dogs remain housed at Animal Services as a petition for custody is currently pending.

The shelter is waiving the $40 adoption fee for the rest of June for their kitties who are six months and older, also know as "certified pre-owned cats."

Orange County Animal Services is located at 2769 Conroy Road in Orlando. The facility is open for adoptions weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 407-836-3111 or visit www.ocnetpets.com.
