Orange County deputies find mother of boy found wandering on street

No decision on if charges will be filed

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Sheriff's Office on Thursday found the parents of a boy who deputies found wandering alone on a sidewalk on Thursday night.

[AUDIO: 911 call released]

Deputies said they found a boy walking on the north sidewalk of North Lane, between La Vista Drive and Robbins Avenue just before 6 p.m.

Deputies identified 4-year-old Terrans Jurdan Emile just before 3:30 p.m. after his mother was found.

Deputies said it appears there was a miscommunication between the mother and a relative who was the child's daycare provider in the 4700 block of Robbins Avenue.

"I'm kind of shocked because he has never done this before," said Loudy Pierre, TJ's uncle.

He said Friday that TJ's mother dropped him off Thursday evening while he was sleeping, so he wasn't aware TJ was there.

"Usually when she drops him off she's with him for a while, so I usually wake up when she leave when she walks out. I didn't know she left this time," Pierre said.

Pierre said TJ normally cries when his mother drops him off and believes TJ walked out of the front door trying to catch his mother.

No decision has been made on if charges will be filed.

The child remains in custody of Department of Children and Families.
