Teen stole woman's purse at convenience store, deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies are seeking the public's help in identifying a teenage boy accused of snatching a woman's purse at an Orlando convenience store earlier this month.

Deputies said a woman was at a convenience store on Americana Boulevard around 4 p.m. on June 8 when she noticed she was being followed by a teenage boy.

The boy, who was believed to be 16-19 years old, approached the woman and asked for money, but when she refused to give him any, he grabbed her purse and took off with it, deputies said.

Deputies said the boy was described as black with short hair, 6 feet tall and weighing 210-230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, as pictured above, and black shoes with gray sides.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-8477 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
