Orange County high school lockdown lifted

Colonial High School was locked down after armed robbery in the area

ORLANDO, Fla. - Colonial High School is no longer on lockdown after authorities searched for an armed robbery suspect.

Orange County Public Schools said the school was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning as a precaution.  There was no direct connection between the robbery and the school.

Authorities were searching for the gunman near the school, which is located on Oleander Drive off of Semoran Boulevard.

It's not known if the gunman has been located, and no other details have been released.
