Orlando mailman accused of selling cocaine on his route

Robert Hunt Jr. faces federal drug charges

ORLANDO, Fla. – A U.S. mail carrier was arrested in Orlando on suspicion of delivering cocaine while on his normal route.

Robert Hunt Jr., 43, of Orlando, was arrested Thursday on federal drug charges.

According to authorities, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service began investigating Hunt, a 24-year postal employee, last week when four parcels suspected of containing drugs were found at an Orlando processing center.

Officials said Hunt was caught delivering packages from his postal vehicle in exchange for $800.

The packages were tracked down, and cocaine -- shipped from Puerto Rico to Orlando -- was found inside, officials said.

Hunt may also face state charges.

An investigation is ongoing.
