Orlando man accused of giving illegal butt injections

Matthew Schultz charged with practicing medicine without license

PLANTATION, Fla. – An Orlando man has been arrested after police say he injected silicone into people's buttocks without a license.

After receiving Crime Stopper tips in September, police in South Florida caught up to Matthew Schultz at a Plantation hotel and arrested him on charges of practicing medicine without a license, unlicensed practice of a health care profession, dispensing prescriptions without a license and drug possession.

In the La Quinta hotel room where Schultz was found, police said they also found 15 bottles of silicone liquid, 47 bottles of lidocaine, syringes, Super Glue, gloves, needles and $18,000 in a suitcase.

Police estimate that Schultz was performing about six unlicensed procedures a day, charging anywhere from $100 to $1,200 for each one.
