Freddie Kendrick, 63, vanished last Thursday and his family said they feared the worst.

Police said he was last seen walking around West Jackson Street toward Westmoreland Avenue.

Kendrick's daughters spent Wednesday afternoon passing out fliers, saying it is a way to channel their fears and frustrations.

"It's the agony of not knowing and the worrying of not knowing, I think that is the worst," said Kendrick's daughter, Roslyn Hamilton. "This is just not him at all," she said.

Kendrick reportedly went walking to the corner store Thursday evening and never came home.

"That is just him -- always being around his family; that's why this is not normal at all," said Hamilton.

Police said when Kendrick returned home he told them he had no idea he had been reported missing. He assured officers he was fine.

No other details were immediately released.
