Orlando pastor steps down months after affair allegations

ORLANDO, Fla. – Nearly two months after a woman claimed she had an affair with Orlando Baptist Church Senior Pastor David Janney, his bio has been scrubbed clean from the church's website.

WorldChangingChurch.com, no longer has Janney's picture or information under the Pastor's tab. Most references have also been removed.

News 6 has obtained a copy of the agreement the alleged mistress Arlene Miranda and church officials signed.

In it, one of the church's donors agrees to give Miranda $375 a week through May of this year, and then $200 a week until the end of July. However, in order to collect the money, Miranda agreed to leave the church, get her car fixed, get counseling, and find a job. Both sides also promised not to disparage the other and keep all dealings confidential.

Miranda sued when she claims the church didn't pay her on time.

The church claims Miranda mischaracterized the agreement and "disputes the vast majority of the allegations."

News 6 reached out to church leaders to confirm whether Janney officially stepped down from his position, no one returned calls. Members are, however, reacting on social media, expressing sadness about Janney's alleged resignation.
