Orlando pharmacist arrested on drug trafficking charges

ORLANDO, Fla. – A Cure Aid pharmacist was arrested Tuesday on 22 counts of trafficking oxycodone and hydrocodone.

Pharmacist Ramesh Pathak was arrested after agents from the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) conducted a search at the Cure Aid on Lake Underhill Road in Orlando.

The MBI has suspected Pathak of illegally distributing the powerful pain medications since August 2011.

In addition to the arrest, the Department of Health served an Emergency Suspension Order to Pharmacist Ramesh Pathak and the Cure Aid Pharmacy.
