Reggie Diaz, 41, was driving his company vehicle, a 2013 Nissan shuttle bus, northbound on South Semoran Boulevard near Leevista Boulevard.

While traveling northbound in the middle through lane, police said Diaz felt an impact from the rear side of his Nissan, noticing another vehicle had sideswiped him.

Both vehicles then pulled over. As Diaz stepped out of his Nissan, police said the other driver opened his door and threw a sandwich at the windshield of his vehicle.

Diaz ducked for cover as the sandwich splattered on his windshield, sending sandwich parts flying in a 3-foot radius, according to Orlando police.

Diaz was very confused, but police said he attempted to make contact with the driver again. As he went towards the front of his vehicle, authorities said the passenger got out of the front passenger side and pointed a black handgun at Diaz.

In fear for his life, police said Diaz went back to his Nissan. As he retreated, police said he heard tires screech and saw the suspect vehicle flee the scene.

Diaz described the vehicle as a newer model minivan, possibly a 2010 Dodge Caravan. The van was yellow and white and resembled a taxi cab. Police said Diaz was unable to obtain a tag.

The driver was described as a Hispanic man who was about 25 years old, about 5 feet tall, wearing a brown or tan polo shirt. Police said the passenger was described a Hispanic man, also about 25 years old, wearing a black or dark blue shirt.

Diaz stated he would recognize the suspects if he saw them again, police said.

Orlando police said a search for the vehicle was conducted but yielded negative results.

Diaz told Orlando police he was in fear for his life and he did not give the suspect permission to point a firearm at him. He stated he wished to press charges.

Those with information about this aggravated assault are asked to call Orlando police.
