Deputies say man threatened to stab victim, made derogatory comments

ST. CLOUD, Fla. - Osceola County deputies have arrested a man after they say he committed a hate crime by trying to stab an Asian man in St. Cloud and making derogatory comments to him.

William McGee has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and committing a hate crime in the Saturday afternoon incident.

Deputies said the Asian victim said McGee yelled derogatory comments pulled out a knife and attempted to stab him before leaving in a pick-up truck.

McGee was found at his home with the knife used during the altercation, deputies said. He was arrested and taken to Osceola County Jail.
