Police were called to a home on the 1300 block of Harrison Street around 1:46 p.m. When they arrived, Jean Belaston was lying on the bedroom floor with a pair of black pants covering his face, according to a news release.
A pool of blood surrounded Jean Belaston and a crowbar was found nearby, police said.
An autopsy found that Jean Belaston's arm, ribs, and chest showed signs of blunt force trauma, possibly from a crow bar, officials said. The medical examiner said an injury on Jean Belaston's might have been from a machete.
His death was ruled a homicide.
Chandler Belaston was arrested Thursday afternoon on a first-degree murder charge in his father's death. He's being held without bail at the Seminole County Jail.
