PALM BAY, Fla. -

More than 100 people camped in tents and lined the sidewalks with lawn chairs and blankets in anticipation of Chick-fil-A opening its newest location in Palm Bay, Local 6 news partner Florida Today reports.

The restaurant passed out samples to those waiting outside of the 1130 Malabar Road location earlier on Wednesday, and 100 people were awarded with 52 coupons, giving them a meal once a week for a year.

Doors opened at 6 a.m. Thursday at the new restaurant.

The Palm Bay Chick-fil-A location is the fifth for Brevard County and was built to resemble a traditional Florida “cracker house,” a style favored by city officials for new businesses in Palm Bay.
