High school parties are common, especially when parents are away for the weekend. But as some Connecticut teens learned the hard way, it's not worth it to have alcohol present, especially if mom and dad will find out.
According to The Hartford Courant, two Glastonbury High School students were arrested after their parents came home early and found more than a dozen teens with alcohol at their home.
They then called police, who arrested their 15- and 16-year-old daughters. The girls now face charges of permitting a minor to possess alcohol.
Police said the girls hosted parties on Oct. 11 and 12 attended by 15 to 20 people each night. They tried to have one more party Sunday night, but that's when mom and dad came home.
Police said the parents did the right thing.
