PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A spirit week costume landed some Florida students in big trouble after they went to school dressed up like members of the Ku Klux Klan.
Pictures of the Wiregrass Ranch High School students dressed in white sheets, with white, pointed hoods, appeared on social media.
The students, who are minorities, could be suspended by the Pasco County School District for one to 10 days.
The school district said the costumes were first reported as ghosts, but officials used a picture taken by the group to confirm the Klan connection.
