One way to get your kids to eat their vegetables? Pay them, according to a Brigham Young University study.
The study showed that giving children small rewards--like a dime or quarter-- for eating fruits and vegetables with their lunches brought less waste.
Professors from BYU went to 15 different schools for the weeklong experiment and found that the rewards brought an 80 percent increase in clean plates and the amount of food wasted went down 33 percent.
