Investigators said Philip Underwood, of Cocoa, was walking on the east side of Grissom Parkway, just north of Camp Road when the right front side of a Volkswagen Jetta driven by 27-year-old Kristin Sirp struck him. Investigators said Underwood landed along the grassy shoulder of the roadway.

Sirp was not injured and alcohol was not a factor in her case, investigators reported.
