ORLANDO, Fla. – Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway will join the Orlando Magic's greatest as the fifth inductee of the team's Hall of Fame.

The move paid off for the Magic, Hardaway was named to the NBA All-Rookie team his first season. The next season, Hardaway joined Shaquille O'Neal to help lead the Magic to the 1995 NBA Finals.

Hardaway played six seasons with the Magic and was named an NBA All-Star four times. He is among the Orlando Magic's all-time leaders in steals, assists, field goals made, points scored and minutes played.

Hardaway was not only an asset on the court, but off it as well. During his time with the Magic, he won the Rich and Helen DeVos Community Enrichment Award. He also became a household name with his series of "Lil Penny" Nike commercials.

Hardaway will be the third Orlando Magic player inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining Shaquille O'Neal and the franchise's first-ever draft pick Nick Anderson. Magic co-founder Pat Williams and Senior Chairman Rich DeVos are also members.

The induction ceremony will take place Jan. 20 in the Amway Center.  Hardaway will also be honored at the Orlando Magic's home game that evening against the Milwaukee Bucks.
