'People are fighting,' says 911 caller from Hogwarts Express at Universal

Caller says some passengers passed out on ride at Universal Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – The city of Orlando released 911 calls late Wednesday from riders who got stuck on the Hogwarts Express ride at Universal Orlando Resort's Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Universal said the train experienced a technical issue last Thursday afternoon.

Riders posted on social media, saying they were inside the train without air conditioning for almost an hour.

"People are fighting on this train," one caller told a dispatcher. "They're trying to kick the doors out, kids are crying. People are passed out on the floor."

 

"We've got someone passed out," another caller said. "We've got people now starting to just riot and scream."

In a separate incident, the Hogwarts Express broke down again two days later.

Universal said both cases were "technical issues" and riders were safely removed.
