Person of interest arrested in shooting of Osceola County teen

33-year-old fired shots into apartment just before teen was shot nearby, police say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – As the investigation continues into over a dozen unsolved shootings in Osceola County, Kissimmee police announced on Tuesday they have a person of interest in custody in the unsolved murder of a teenager.

Christian Roszkowski, 33, is also a suspect in at least one other shooting according to Kissimmee officials.

"It's devastating," said Liz Zapata, the aunt of 17-year-old David Guerrero.

Police say Guerrero was gunned down around 6 a.m. last Wednesday morning while he was walking to work along North Central Avenue.

Police said they have no motive for the murder and it was likely a case of mistaken identity.

"The whole family is just devastated right now," say Zapata.

Detectives say Roszkowski's crime spree actually began hours earlier around 11:30 last Tuesday night. He allegedly got into a domestic altercation outside the Sun Club Apartments, which are also located on North Central Avenue.

A resident of one of the apartments heard the commotion and opened her front door. That's when Roszkowski allegedly threatened to kill her and displayed a firearm.

"He was saying 'and I'm going to kill you too. I'm going to get you, I'm going to get you,'" said the resident, who asked to remain anonymous out of fear for her safety.

That resident then woke up around 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday to the sound of gunfire. Four bullets tore through her kitchen window. The bullets put holes in pictures and ripped through walls before getting lodged in the ceiling above her bathroom.

"I need to be safe and I don't feel safe here," said the victim

Police say approximately two hours later, Guerrero was gunned down just two blocks away.

The victim from the Sun Club Apartments wonders if Roszkowski mistook Guerrero for her teenage son.

"At the moment I'm trying to make sense of everything. I don't have any money to move out.  I'm trying to move but I have no where to go," said the victim.

Local 6 also spoke with Adriana Cevallos, one of Guerrero's co-workers. She was on vacation when Guerrero was killed and he was supposed to be filling in for her at the Summer Bay Resort.

"When I heard the news, I couldn't believe it because I just spoke to him on Tuesday evening," said Cevallos. "He had so many dreams and so many passions."

Right now, Roszkowski remains locked up in the Osceola County jail.  Police describe him as a tattoo artist who's been in and out of jail. He was previously convicted on several drug charges as well as aggravated assault with a firearm.

However, since Roszkowski's incarceration, there have been additional unsolved shootings in the Kissimmee area and detectives are still looking for additional suspects.
