COCOA BEACH, Fla. – One person was airlifted to a hospital after a pickup truck crashed into a wall at Patrick Air Force Base.
The pickup crashed into a wall along State Road A1A about 9:40 a.m. Wednesday. Northbound traffic was briefly closed while a medical helicopter picked up the driver of the pickup, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.
The pickup appears to have been headed northbound on the highway when it crossed southbound lanes and smashed into the wall on the west side of the road, near the Technical Applications Center.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
