'Pillowcase bandits' arrested after high-speed chase ends in Brevard County

Deputies believe 3 are part of 'pillowcase bandits'

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Three men deputies believe are part of the "pillowcase bandits" are now in jail after a high-speed chase ends in a crash off I-95 in Brevard County.

According to deputies, 27-year-old Brandon McKenzie, 21-year-old Bryan Bradley and 21-year-old Terrace Young were arrested after the tire on their car blew out after deputies threw out stop sticks.

Deputies said they were working on breaking into a home in Suntree, but were caught in the act after several people called 911 after noticing two of the men leave a home with a pillowcase.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey told Local 6 they believe the men are part of a much larger group of burglars from South Florida.

"This could be a group of individuals not just three people, so it's not ok to to let your guard down," said Ivey. "We want you to be just as observant and vigilant over not only your home, but your neighbor's home, because that's the key to this."

All three men are charged with grand theft and burglary, while McKenzie is also charged with aggravated battery and fleeing and eluding police. They are expected to appear in front of a judge Friday morning.

If you believe you are a victim, you are asked to call the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.
