SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The Seminole County School Board is set to vote on a plan to help keep students safe in school.
The measure would put a full-time resource officer at all of the county's public schools. That is 21 more than the 2015-2016 school year.
For their part, the school board would pay half of the personnel costs, which will be about a million dollars.
In addition, the program would also teach drug prevention, internet safety and other life skills.
Tuesday's meeting is set for 5:30 p.m.
