VIERA, Fla. – A small single engine plane apparently experiencing mechanical problems landed safely near the reflecting pool across from the Brevard County Government Complex in Viera.
The incident happened just before 3 p.m. when the plane suffered an engine failure and was forced to land.

It's not clear where the plane was coming from or its destination. Investigators interviewed the pilot.
Workers and visitors to the Brevard County Government Complex near the reflecting pool watched as deputies stood watch around the small aircraft.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating further.
