Police: Body, car linked to Casselberry fatal salon shooting

Shooter used victim's car, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police say a man who was found dead in a apartment on Friday is linked to the man who shot and killed three women in a Casselberry salon last week.

Police said they were called to investigate the well-being of a man just after 8:30 p.m. Friday in an apartment on the 5700 block of Gatlin Avenue. When police arrived, 28-year-old Roberto Colon's body was in the apartment.

Police said Colon's car was used by the shooter, 36-year-old Bradford Baumet, Baumet in the events leading up to walking into Dominicana Hair Salon at the Casselton Corner plaza off State Road 436 and shooting the four women with a stolen gun.

Marcia Santiago, 44, the ex-girlfriend and target of the shooter, is in serious condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Gladys Cabrera, 52 ,a customer at the salon, Noelia Gonzalez-Brito, 28, an employee and salon owner Eugenia "Mari" Marte were killed.

It's not clear if Baumet was responsible for killing Colon. Police said Colon was new to the area and had just moved from another part of Florida. Police are still investigating the incident and will determine how long Colon's body was inside his apartment.
