Police identify suspect in Orlando tourist district hotel robberies

Gunman considered armed, dangerous, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police identified on Monday the suspect they say robbed one hotel and attempted to rob another in the Orlando tourist district within hours.

Police are searching for Damien D. Altidor, 19, in the robberies at a Quality Inn and at a Metropolitan Express hotel on June 4.

In the Quality Inn robbery, police said Altidor was wearing a bandana over his face and pointed a gun at the clerk while stealing money.

Three hours later, police said Altidor went to the Metropolitan Express hotel at 6323 International Drive armed with a gun, but decided to leave after seeing others come into the hotel.

Police say Altidor is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
