Police: Kindergartner slaps Cocoa elementary school assistant principal

Police say 911 called over incident at Cambridge Elementary

COCOA, Fla. – Officials called 911 after a kindergartener slapped an assistant principal at a Cocoa elementary school, according to police.

Cocoa police said they received a call around 1:30 p.m. about the incident at Cambridge Elementary School.

School officials said the student slapped and scratched the assistant principal.  It's not known what prompted the attack.

The kindergartener has been suspended from school but was not arrested.

The assistant principal wasn't seriously injured.
