Police: Man carjacked at gunpoint in Orange County

Incident happened near Orlando Fire Station No. 1

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man told police he was carjacked at gunpoint near the downtown Orlando Fire Station on July 18, the Orlando Police Department said.

The victim told police he fell asleep in his car after going out to the downtown area.

He was awakened by two men, described as African-American, opening his door and pointing a gun at him.

The man told police he was dragged out of his car and thrown to the ground.

Police said the man told them he gave him his wallet and keys.

The pair took off in the victim’s 2015 Honda Accord west down Central Boulevard and turned north onto Garland Avenue.

Police describe the two men as wearing a baseball jersey with black pants and a red baseball hat with a red bandana.

The second man was wearing a baseball hat with a black shirt and pants.
