Police: Man made lewd comment to Kissimmee student, 10

Police search for man in suspicious incident

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Kissimmee police are searching for the man they say approached a 10-year-old student walking near the school and made lewd comments to the child.

Police said the incident occurred last week at 4 p.m. when the Mill Creek Elementary student was approached by a man at the intersection of Pine Tree Terrace and Mill Slough Road.

According to the release, the man drove up in his white SUV and made a lewd comment referring to his genitalia before driving off. The man didn't leave the car or attempt to touch the child, police said.

The victim was able to provide police with a description and the composite sketch was released.

The suspicious incident comes weeks after two other incidents in Osceola County were men approached students near schools. Police said it is possible the same person may be responsible for some of those incidents.

"He's a sick, sick person," said Kurt Hanley-Woodbridge, who lives near the intersection where one girl was approached. "You don't mess with little kids. I'm scared for my son, ya know."

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is urged to contact the Kissimmee Police Department's Major Crimes Unit at 407-846-3333.
