LEESBURG, Fla. – A man was shocked with a stun gun four times, including once in the groin, after two police officers say he shot at them while they were investigating a Department of Children and Families report at a Leesburg home.
David Dixon, 33, was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted premeditated murder on a law enforcement officer and one count of resisting arrest with violence in the Thursday incident.

According to police, the officers arrived at a home on Depot Lane and was speaking to the residents about possible drugs around children when Dixon, one of the resident's brothers, walked from his home and approached officers. When he was told to leave, Dixon reportedly argued "I have been more than helpful all day for you guys," and then left.
About 30 minutes later, police said Dixon fired one shot at them by their patrol cars while hiding behind a trash on Oak Avenue. He then walked back to his house, holding a short-barreled rifle and refused to stop when officers called to him. He hid the gun and then sat out on his porch, refusing to get on the ground as police ordered. The officer was forced to shock him four times, including once in the groin, according to the report.
He was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center to have the stun gun probe removed from his groin area and was later taken to the Lake County Jail.
