Man sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

SANFORD, Fla. – Police responded to a possible shooting with injuries and found a man with apparent gunshot wounds Sunday.

The Sanford Police Department said that they responded to a call at approximately 12:30 a.m. at the 7-11, at 7500 N. Ronald Regan Blvd. about a possible shooting with injuries.

When police arrived they discovered a man with injuries from an apparent gunshot wound and a suspect, Brandin Pickens, 22, who they placed in custody, police said. 

The victim was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Pickens was transported to the Seminole County Jail. 

His first appearance before a judge will be Monday at 1:30 p.m.

His bond is currently set at $20,000.
