NEW SMYRNA BEACH – Friday night, New Smyrna Beach police officers responded to 404 Hickory Street in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, 39-year-old Jimmie Clark Jr. who advised the incident took place in the 300-Block of Palm Street.

Clark Jr. was shot in the ankle and the suspect took an unknown amount of money from the victim, before fleeing the scene on foot.
Clark Jr. was taken to Bert Fish Medical Center with non life threatening injuries and released later from the hospital late Friday night.
Officers searched the area for the suspect, however they were unable to locate him.
