KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Kissimmee police said they have found a man who cut off his GPS and fled the area after he was convicted of a sex offense in Orange County.

Police said Elihu Lloyd was apprehended Saturday morning in Carson County Texas.

Police said Lloyd will be held in Carson County on charges the Sheriff's office has on him, then he will be sent to Osceola County on the warrant Kissimmee Police Detectives obtained earlier this week. 

Police said on June 4, around  4:30 a.m., Lloyd removed his GPS monitoring unit, stole his roommate's Gray 2005 Ford Taurus SE and absconded from his home in Kissimmee. 

Police said in 2010, Elihu Lloyd was convicted in Osceola County of sexual battery.
