Police search for juvenile brothers in town from Dominican Republic

Brothers in Kissimmee for baseball tournament

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Officials are searching for two juvenile brothers who were in Kissimmee with their baseball team from the Dominican Republic.

Police said Francis Carela-Valdez, 15, and Fanklyn Carela-Valdez, 16, were in Kissimmee for a tournament and went to bed at a hotel in town around 11 p.m. Friday.

The two boys had disappeared Saturday morning. After team staff searched for the brothers with no results, they contacted the Kissimmee Police Department.

Police said the boys may have family members in New York, but it is unknown if they would be making their way there.

The boys reportedly have very limited funds and there is no phone number to reach them.
