Surveillance camera captured theft, authorities say

FANWOOD, NJ – Police say a woman, captured on video with a child, stole a wedding dress valued at $5,000 from a store in northern New Jersey.

The woman, who was wearing a red or pink dress, carried the garment out of Sheng Couture in Fanwood on Sept. 28.

"Yes, it was one of the most expensive in our store," said Chamroen Seng, the store's owner.

A child was seen walking behind the woman as she left the store, but on the video, the woman appears not to be paying attention to her.

"I really feel so bad for the kid.  They trained the kid to be this way," Seng told reporters.

Police are scouring the web for online postings to see if she is trying to sell the dress.
