Port Orange police: Masked man forced teen into woods

Search ongoing on man who grabbed 17-year-old

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Port Orange police are searching for a man they say grabbed a teen and forced her into a wooded area.

Police said the 17-year-old female was walking along Dunlawton Avenue just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday when a masked man approached her. According to the report, the teen struggled and was able to break away.

The man is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches with a medium build and wearing dark pants and a long sleeved jacket. The man was also wearing a knit-type cloth mask concealing his face.

The teen wasn't injured physically in the struggle. Police are investigating the incident as an aggravated assault.

Local 6 has learned that police are questioning one man, but he hasn't been arrested or named a suspect.
