Possible sinkhole swallows Florida driveway
Families return to homes following evacuations
Families in Pasco County are being allowed back into their homes after geologists determined a possible sinkhole is no longer growing.
The hole swallowed a 72-year-old woman's driveway on Sunday. The woman was able to take her two cats and get out of the home safely.
Firefighters originally asked neighbors to evacuate their homes until they could determine if the sinkhole was growing.
Once geologists deemed the situation safe, neighbors were allowed back into their homes. However, many people living nearby still fear their homes are in danger.
"I could not believe it until I saw it with my own eyes," Joy Zupancic, a neighbor, told WTSP-TV.
