Pregnant woman police believed to be missing shows up at police department

Jamie Lee Powell-Kielczewski, 22, believed to have gone missing Wednesday

COCOA, Fla. – The pregnant woman who Cocoa police believe was kidnapped by her boyfriend went to their police department Thursday to speak with investigators.

Jamie Lee Powell-Kielczewski, 22, who is 4 and a half months pregnant, had last been seen at a Shell gas station on State Road 524 at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said she told the clerk she didn't want to be with the people she was with for any longer. She attempted to call 911 from the business' phone, speaking very softly, and police said they were unable to get a lot of information from her.

Witnesses said she then walked to the restroom and was attempting to call police again when a man walked to the restroom, kicked in the door and took Powell-Kielczewski out to the car against her will.

Police initially named Powell-Kielczewski's boyfriend, Lance Jenkins, 26, as a person of interest. However, when Powell-Kielczewski spoke with investigators Thursday, police said there were no physical signs of abuse present and she insisted that she was not a victim.

Powell-Kielczewski made statements to her family in the past, making them believe her life may be in danger, according to police.

Powell-Kielczewski refused to cooperate with police any further.
