OneOrlando Fund closes after $31.5 distributed to Pulse victims

City receives more than 300 claims

ORLANDO, Fla. – More than 300 people have received money as of Monday from the OneOrlando Fund, which was created after the Pulse nightclub shooting.

Roughly $31.5 million was donated and distributed to people affected by the mass shooting that killed 49 people and injured more than 50 others.

The fund stopped accepting donations on Jan. 1 and officially closed Friday after the final distribution of more than $2 million.

As of December, 299 claims to the fund had received payments totaling more than $29.5 million.

The OneOrlando Fund received 333 claims, 33 of which were deemed ineligible.
