Rain in forecast for Central Florida on Wednesday

ORLANDO, Fla. – So far the daytime high on Tuesday in Orlando has been 80 degrees with very few showers.

Tuesday night will remain mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. The low will drop to 62.

On Wednesday, things begin to change a little more, said Local 6 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sorrells.

The daytime high will be 79 degrees on Wednesday and rain chances will be up to 40 percent.

On Wednesday night, the rain chance jumps to 60 percent and Thursday will bring a 70 percent chance of strong storms.

The high will be 78 on Thursday, but strong storms with heavy rain, hail, and straight line winds will be rolling through in the afternoon.

Friday we dry out and get started on a great weekend, Sorrells said. It will be mostly sunny Friday with a high of 74 degrees.

Saturday looks sunny with a high of 76 and Sunday will be sunny with a high of 80.
