Rapist sought in 2 attacks; Sketch released

Orlando police search for assailant

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police have released a composite sketch of a man wanted in the attack of one woman and the rape of another.

Orlando police said a woman was grabbed around 11:20 p.m. Thursday in the 4800 block of Raleigh Street near Lanette Street.  The woman screamed, and her husband ran the attacker off, police said.

As they were responding to the first call, police said they received as exual battery call about an attack in the 1600 block of South Kirkman near Valencia College.

Police said the woman, who was walking alone about 1 a.m. Friday, was pulled into some bushes and raped.

Based on the descriptions given by the women, police said the same man was involved in both attacks.

The assailant was described as a bald Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and and 180 pounds with a tribal tattoo on his back.  He was wearing a gray tank-top and basketball shorts.

Amanda Andrews told Local 6 she heard a woman scream at Timer Sound apartments Thursday night and assumed it was a domestic dispute.

"Like somebody was trying to kill her or something, I couldn't directly hear what the guy was saying or whatever but he was screaming at her," she said.

Anyone with information about the man is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS. Valencia College also sent out an off-campus crime alert since school isn't in session to remind those around the campus to be aware of their surroundings.
