Refrain from burning: Central Florida to continue mostly dry pattern

Winds to lessen throughout Saturday evening

ORLANDO, Fla. – Prevailing east winds kept the clouds blowing in from the Atlantic Ocean, giving Central Florida some mixed weather Saturday.

At times, skies were partly cloudy and at other times they were mostly cloudy. Winds gusting up to 22 mph brought in lots of clouds and some occasional small showers along the east coast.

"Saturday night and Sunday should see improvements in sky cover, and a lessening of the winds," News 6's Danny Treanor said.

Saturday night lows will range from 65 degrees in Melbourne and 62 degrees in Orlando to 49 degrees in Ocala.

"Sunday sunshine pushes temps up to 83 in Orlando, 78 in Daytona Beach and 84 in Clermont," Treanor said. "There will also be a 20 percent chance of rain around Lake County and a 40 percent chance of rain
around Marion County."

Mostly dry conditions will prevail throughout next week, adding to our drought index. Remember to refrain from burning during such dry conditions.

The next big chance for rain is Friday, with a 30 percent chance. Temperatures will be flirting with 90 degrees by the end of the week.
