Cuba's public health system has approved the sale of more than one million condoms with passed expiration dates.

A shortage of condoms on the island has triggered complaints from the community.

According to the Miami Herald, Tthe island's public health system has approved the sale of more than one million prophylactics with passed expiration dates."

A report says that pharmacy sales personnel must explain to customers that the condoms are good, they just simply have the wrong expiration dates, according to the newspaper of the Communist Party in the central province of Villa Clara, the Vanguardia.
