ORLANDO, Fla. -

Publix Super Markets will reportedly be opening a new prototype store in Dr. Phillips next week.

Orlando Business Journal reports the Lakeland-based grocer will open the Sand Lake Road store on Dec. 19 in an old Albertsons store, across the street from an existing Publix--but both will remain open.

The store is reportedly supposed to feature high-end products and cater toward upscale Dr. Phillips shoppers, while competing with stores like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.
